| Myrtaceae family Eugenia lambertiana de Candolle, Prodr. 3: 270. 1828. Indigenous quite rare shrub/small tree of all levels of the rainforest, including elfin shrublands where it has a dwarf form. Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, South America. Fruits remain for many months on the tree, green, then orange/yellow and finally purple and juicy. Shape sometimes irregular.
