Lesser Antillean endemic
Tree of the semi-evergreen seasonal forest and lower montane rainforest boundary, Pont des Serpents, Mon Parasol, Anse-La-Raye.
A small population.
Guadeloupe(?), Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent.
There may well be other populations in the surrounding rather inaccesible area. The trees were sterile but twigs were strongly keeled, characteristic of this species.
In addition I later found an unlabelled but fruiting herbarium specimen of Laurent Jean-Pierre, collected in exactly the same location, which appears to be a Calyptranthes.
