| Fabaceae-Faboideae family Clitoria falcata Lamarck, Encycl. 2: 51. 1786. Indigenous very rare vine, low-climbing, of open and semi-open moist areas. Two forms, one with a median ridge on the pods (Praslin) and one without (Ciceron, Castries). Guadeloupe, Marie Galanate, Martinique, St. Lucia, Greater Antilles, Mesoamerica, South America, tropical Africa. Both types normally fruit without flowers developing fully but one year I observed many flowers at Ciceron. Sticky seeds. |
