Putranjivaceae family (1 species)
Drypetes glauca Vahl, Eclog. Amer. 3: 49. 1807.
Bwa agouti West Indian endemic. Very rare tree of exposed ridges in lower montane rainforest and the summit of Gros Piton. St.
Kitts, Nevis, Montserrat, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia,
St. Vincent, Greater Antilles (Hispaniola, Puerto Rico) . This species was identified in FLA as Drypetes serrata (Blume) Pax & K. Hoffmabb. My fruiting collection from the same location has been identified as Drypetes glauca Vahl by Dr. Geoffrey Levin. My more recent collection of a male specimen confirmed this. Drypetes serrata is probably not in St. Lucia.
