Coastal savanna and disturbed semi-open dry areas.
Quite common extreme north and south of island, rare/absent elsewhere.
St. Martin, St. Kitts, Guadeloupe, Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, the Grenadines, Grenada, Barbados.
Starts flowering November.


There is a larger type with a magenta flower seen on the top of Gros Piton
