Zolivyé Indigenous very rare tree of semi-evergreen seasonal forest, especially Anse La Raye, and lower montane rainforest. Antigua, Montserrat, Guadeloupe, Marie Galante, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, the Grenadines, Grenada, Barbados, Greater Antilles, Mesoamerica, South America. Its habitat is being destroyed for building in areas such as Au Tabor and Massacré. Occasional massive trees are seen in the forest reserve. Tree loses all its leaves at the same time, at some point during the dry season, and flowers then appear - even in the rainforest. |
