Fabaceae-Caesalpinioideae family

Senna hirsuta
(Linnaeus) H. S. Irwin & Barneby var. hirsuta
, Phytologia 44(7): 499.  1979.
Bas.: Cassia hirsuta Linnaeus (1753).

Indigenous (?) very rare suffrutescent herb of muddy degraded areas.
Guadeloupe, Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Puerto Rico, Trinidad, Mesoamerica, South America.
I have only seen this species twice in the wild. It might also be occasionally cultivated as a herbal medicine? It therefore either occasionally escapes from cultivation or is adventive. It does not appear to be established in the wild.
